Northwest Mutual Campus - Franklin, WI

...a “river running through it” gives form to this building campus and protects the site’s environmental resources
Outcomes:

An employee oriented campus was the primary goal for Northwestern Mutual. Designed to accommodate a million plus square feet of office space and related parking, the site plan congregates four building phases around a central courtyard combining a waterfall, natural stream, bridges, employee break spaces, stormwater management and intensive landscaping. Parking is congregated in secured surface lots and parking structures both of which provide efficient employee building access and security. Existing site wetland features are preserved and continue to provide their environmental and stormwater benefits; native landscapes were restored along walking path corridors. To date, approximately 600,000 sf of office space has been constructed accommodating approximately 2800 employees.
