SAA Design Group has recently been hired to develop a Wayfinding Signage Plan for its downtown core. The plan will assist in guidance of travelers from Interstate 94 and many state highways to Downtown Kenosha, its museums, parking, shopping and dining destinations, and other significant points of interest and amenities. The plan includes guiding pedestrians to points of interest within the downtown area. The development of the wayfinding plan is one component of an overall economic development effort to revitalize downtown Kenosha. Directional signage to and through the downtown area will be integral to this effort. Planning is to commence in early 2012 with Phase I implementation planned for later in 2012.
